Senior Commercial Lawyer with Franchise Experience – 14-month Contract

A global hospitality brand operating in over 10 countries with 5,000+ employees. Significant growth in Australia and New Zealand. Excellent legal and business team.

• Support the business across all legal requirements in Australia and New Zealand.
• Advise and liaise with external legal counsel to ensure efficient and cost-effective management.
• Provide commercial input into decisions, particularly in franchise-related matters.
• Negotiate, draft, and review contractual documentation.
• Assist with risk/governance management and reporting.

• 14-month parental leave cover with hybrid working available.

• Current Australian practising certificate with at least 7 years of post-qualification experience.
• Minimum 2 years of franchising experience, gained in-house or in private practice.
• Previous in-house experience essential, ideally in a broad commercial role.
• Skilled legal operator with excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
• Commercially minded with the ability to provide practical legal solutions.

• Self-aware, grounded, and proficient in technology.

• Work closely with the business and learn from an excellent General Counsel.
• Varied and interesting work supporting every function within the business.
• Flexible hybrid working arrangement.

• Excellent remuneration: $185k inc super full-time or potentially the same account for 4 days.
