Secondee Lawyers
Secondee lawyers set their rates. Dovetail and the lawyer split the rate charged to the client on 80% to lawyer and 20% to Dovetail.
Everybody gets to see who gets what – no hidden fees.
Hourly
Hourly rates (inclusive of Dovetail fees) are typically
$280 – $350 + GST to the lawyer
Top lawyers at exceptional hourly rates work remotely, as-and-when needed to support your business.
Daily
Daily rates (inclusive of Dovetail fees) are typically
$1,000 – $1,280 + GST to the lawyer
On-demand lawyers to work flexibly within your business, or remotely for the period and price that suits you.

Dovetail charges monthly fee of 1.5% of the lawyer’s annual remuneration in arrears to a maximum of 12 months (18% p/a). If the lawyer ceases work so too does our fee. It’s the equivalent of a 12-month pro rata guarantee period. We back ourselves to find the right lawyer.
Fixed-Term
1.5% of the lawyer’s annual remuneration in arrears to a maximum of 12 months (18% p/a)
A great option for 6-month requirements. Pay monthly as you go, usually costs 20% less than a secondee. Recommended for projects and parental leave cover.

Permanent
1.5% of the lawyer’s annual remuneration in arrears to a maximum of 12 months (18% p/a)
When you are looking to grow your team or replace a team member. We offer month payments, as you go, and a 12-month pro-rata guarantee period.
