Senior Legal Counsel – Energy Infrastructure – 12 mths

SUMMARY:

Outstanding opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel to join a leading global energy infrastructure company for a 12-month part-time, parental leave cover position based in Brisbane. The role requires strong commercial contracts negotiation and drafting experience and the ability to collaborate with senior leadership throughout the region.

THE ROLE:

• Negotiate and draft, a wide variety of commercial contracts, including customer and supply
• Provide advice on legal rights, obligations, and claims liability in disputes and litigation matters
• Develop legal strategies and practical solutions to navigate compliance changes
• Assist with company secretarial activities for group companies
• Hybrid working arrangements available
• Start mid-July
• Located in Brisbane, close to the CBD

ABOUT YOU:

• You hold a current Australian Legal Practicing Certificate and have 8+ years of post-qualification experience, including time spent in a reputable firm and/or an in-house legal team
• Excellent commercial contract negotiation and drafting skills
• Experience in resources, renewables, power, or utilities is desirable but not essential
• Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders
