THE ROLE:
  • Full-time position with a hybrid working model (3 days in-office, 2 days from home).
  • Based in Brisbane.
  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Safety Leadership: Actively contribute to the organisation’s safety culture, ensuring compliance with safety policies and promoting effective communication of safety requirements.
    • Contract Negotiation: Review and negotiate customer agreements, supplier contracts, service agreements, and procurement deals to align with organisational objectives.
    • Lifecycle Management: Manage the full lifecycle of contracts, including execution, performance tracking, renewal, amendments, and termination, while ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks at each stage of the contract lifecycle, engaging with stakeholders to recommend and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure contracts adhere to local, state, and federal laws, providing regular performance reports and maintaining updated contract databases.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and manage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless contract execution.
    • Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve contract disputes efficiently, working with legal counsel and other relevant parties.
    • Continuous Improvement: Develop and recommend improvements to contract management processes to enhance efficiency and transparency.

ABOUT YOU:
  • Qualifications & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Contract Management, or related field; a law degree is a plus.
    • At least 5 years’ experience managing the full lifecycle of contracts, ideally within the construction, infrastructure, or transportation sectors.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial management.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Strong organisational and project management capabilities, with attention to detail.
    • Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Pragmatic, hands-on problem-solver with sound financial and business acumen.
    • High ethical standards, committed to transparency and integrity.
    • Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
