In-House Counsel – Education Sector – Permanent

THE ORGANISATION:

A leading organisation in the education sector based in Western Sydney. Offering a hybrid work environment, this role balances office collaboration with work-from-home flexibility.

THE ROLE:

• Permanent full-time role
• Western Sydney office location with a hybrid work flexibility — 3 days in office and 2 days working from home
• Key responsibilities include:

• • Providing pragmatic and business focussed solutions to the organisation
  • Supporting commercial legal work such as procurement, supply chain management, contract review, negotiation and related disputes

• • Overseeing privacy and information management
  • Providing legal input on strategic and administrative matters
  • Interacting with external service providers where necessary

Start Date: ASAP

ABOUT YOU:

• You hold a current Australian legal practising certificate
• You have good general commercial legal experience and attention to detail
• Prior experience servicing clients in the education and / or health sectors is not essential, but will be highly regarded
• You are adaptable and proactive with good common sense and strong planning, organising and problem-solving skills
• You are someone who thrives within a community-focused organisation
