ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Contracts Lawyer, you will work closely with the General Counsel and other internal stakeholders to negotiate, draft, and manage customer contracts. This position is ideal for a lawyer looking to further develop their skills in a corporate environment while gaining exposure to significant, high-value transactions.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of customer contracts, predominantly using customer-supplied terms.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, including sales, procurement, and finance, to align contract terms with the company’s commercial objectives.
  • Manage contract negotiations for agreements valued between $500K and $3M, ensuring compliance with legal and business requirements.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on contract risks, obligations, and implications.
  • Assist the General Counsel in negotiating more complex or high-stakes contracts as required.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle, including renewals and any amendments, while ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping.

 

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2 to 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial contracts or a related legal field.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and risk management practices.
    Excellent negotiation and drafting skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
