Senior Legal Counsel – Employment/HR/Awards

An exciting opportunity for a seasoned Employment Lawyer with Award experience, in particular SCHADS, and the community services sector to join a leading organisation for a 3-to-6-month contract to start ASAP.
THE COMPANY:
This established organisation operates within the healthcare and training sectors, providing essential services to Healthcare, NDIS and Aged Care companies. With a strong commitment to community engagement and support, the company fosters a collaborative and growth-oriented culture. Based in the Sydney CBD.
THE ROLE:
- Advise on employment law matters, with a focus on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award.
- Reviewing pay of Award employees and remedying any issues.
- Provide training and strategic counsel to HR teams and executives on compliance, restructuring, and workforce management.
ABOUT YOU:
- You hold a current Australian Practicing Certificate with at least 10 years’ PQE, particularly within employment/HR/IR
- Strong working knowledge Awards and while experience with the SCHADS Award would be useful it’s not essential.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
- Commitment to ethical practice and client service excellence.
